Solutions

Our strategies for tackling the challenges in our communities differ, just as the issues themselves do. While this list of solutions and problems is not exhaustive, we hope to inspire you to join us in advocating for change and making it a reality!

Concerns about upward mobility, information literacy, and the effects of classism on vulnerable communities drive our ethical and inclusive approach to analyzing real-world problems and seeking practical solutions. Check out our suggestions below

To counteract barriers to upward mobility for vulnerable community members we suggest:

Effective employer education on hiring and retaining employees from underrepresented communities

Auditing of programs designed to provide upward mobility to employees

Information literacy barriers can be and have been challenged by demands for policy change or adherence. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways including writing letters to your legislators, lobbying, or volunteering for an effort geared towards information access.

Classism presents in so many forms that the ways we can address it are endless. One simple one is to advocate for inclusion and education by becoming a member of an organization with goals and values similar to your own and ensuring that you work towards that.
